BOB RECIPE: Powdered Sugar Pound Cake

6 large eggs, room temperature
3 sticks (1 1/2 cups) butter, room temperature
3 cups all-purpose flour
4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Cream butter.  Add sifted powdered sugar one cup at a time.  Beat well.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Add lemon and vanilla flavorings.  Add flour last, one cup at a time.

Pour batter into greased and floured tube or bundt pan.  Bake in preheated 350 F oven for one hour.  Cool for 3 – 5 minutes before removing from pan.  Add frosting if desired.
