ERIC S. LEE’S Sweeping Her Off Her Feet With Food (available at bookstores online and directly from, $ 29.95)

“The key to sweeping a woman off her feet is with food”…this is Boulder Colorado Chef Eric S. Lee‘s opening bold statement in his well designed and romance-filled cookbook, Sweeping Her Off Her Feet With Food.  That is really an appealing sell to me (perhaps this is just what “currently-in-the-news” famous men, the likes of Larry King, Tiger Woods, Charlie Sheen and Jesse James really need, not therapy).

Chef Lee’s book is the Ultimate Guide to Romance and Seduction in the Kitchen, and really I read romance written all over this book. Knock your socks off romantic menu recipes include Grilled Salmon with Fresh Mango Salsa, Seared Ahi Tuna with Teriyaki Glaze, Heart Shaped Pasta with Prosciutto, Fresh Tomato, Peas & Arugula, Lamb Osso Buco, and Steak Diane.  The aphrodisiac-laded recipe directions are easy to follow (Chef Eric Lee really makes the cooking easy, yo) and there are lots and lots of romantic suggestions and tips…wine pairings, tips for setting the romantic mood, even table settings.

Really this book is a genius. Even his book introduction is a delicious read. “For those of you who have already have serious love relationships, the book could cause a serious tremor of passion.  For those who have no relationship, but desire one, the book could help you attract one.  For those who are still virgins the book could be just the ticket to ecstasy…If you provide her with a night as choreographed in the book…that would be heaven!”

It was fun chatting with Chef Eric Lee by phone yesterday and he just might be in Chicago this summer and agreed to a special no-holds-barred interview…and I really promise to ask him saucy and juicy questions, trust me, I will come prepared and attempt to sweep him off his feet with my diva’s touch, yo! Chef Lee’s “dress for succ-sex” romantic book is the real deal…definitely a handsome gift and strikes just the right balance between satisfaction and passion and I won’t be surprised if my readers place multiple orders in his online site, (you won’t regret!).

The Best Bread Pudding She’s Ever Had

(from Chef Eric S. Lee’s book, Sweeping Her Off Her Feet with Food)

This recipe is going to make extra so she can take some to work and brag to her friends about what a stud she’s got!

1 loaf French bread, cut into cubes and dried 2-3 hours

2 sticks melted butter (1/2 lb)

 5 eggs

2 yolks

3 1/2 cups heavy cream

2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/3 teaspoon nutmeg

1 tablespoon vanilla

3/4 cup raisins

1/2 stick (1/4 cup) melted butter

1/2 cup light brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350 F.  Place bread cubes in a 13 x 9 baking dish.  Pour butter over bread cubes and mix together until butter is soaked into the bread.  Combine next 9 ingredients in a medium mixing bowl and whisk until well blended.  Pour mixture over bread cubes and gently mix until all cubes are moistened.  Let stand for 3 minutes.  Pour remaining 1/2 stick melted butter over the top, then sprinkle brown sugar over that, making sure some of the sugar mixes with the butter.  Place in center of oven and bake for 50 minutes or until pudding feels firm to the touch and a toothpick comes out clean.  Top should be deep golden brown. Serve with Creme Anglaise (recipe in Chef Lee’s book) or Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream (Chef Lee’s choice).
