2/3 cup butter

1 lb (2 1/4 cups) brown sugar

3 eggs

2 cups flour

2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup coconut

3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan.

Cream butter. Add brown sugar gradually. Add one egg at a time beating constantly. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add a little at a time to first mixture. Blend in vanilla with spoon. Add chocolate chips, coconut and nuts. Bake at 375 F for 45 minutes. Cool before cutting.
