BOB RECIPE: SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE CAKE

SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE CAKE

3 oz unsweetened baking chocolate

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 cup boiling water

2 cups packed brown sugar

2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine baking chocolate, butter or margarine, and boiling water in a small bowl; stir until chocolate and butter or margarine are melted. Combine brown sugar, flour, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. Gradually add chocolate mixture; blend well. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla; beat one minute at medium speed. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 pan. Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 35 minutes or until inserted cake tester comes out clean. Top with your favorite frosting.
