BOB RECIPE: German Chocolate Mousse

BOB RECIPE:  German Chocolate Mousse

2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1 (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 (12 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup shredded coconut, toasted
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 cup caramel topping, slightly heated (best if you make your own caramel sauce)

In medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, gelatin and evaporated milk.  Let mixture stand 1 minute to soften gelatin.  Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until gelatin is completely dissolved, about 5 mnutes.

Chill mixture until cool, about 30 minutes.  Stir in next 4 ingredients.  Chill until set.

Before serving, drizzle with warm caramel sauce.  Serves 6 to 8.
